what is "dry" macular degeneration



Dry macular degeneration refers to when the macula develops various changes such as thinning, loss of pigment and round deposits called “drusen”. Typically…patients with dry macular degeneration have minimal loss of their detailed vision…in most cases central reading vision remains…although isn’t “what it used to be”
